PCB Layout with Copper pours

I want to connect a copper pour to the large pad in the sample project.

Any ideas.

I need more heat sinking capability.

Thanks

  • You need to set it to the same net, but here is the problem- your project has no net names. I'm not sure how that's happened.

  • The plane is fine but your connector U1 is not. You have placed two vias as pads, that will not work. You should place pads. You can see that something is wrong by the red rectangles with white crosses.

Use the Part Editor, go to PCB tab and menu Add and add two pads. Remove the vias. Then you can assign the schematic pins to the pads.

    Must select an electrical layer.
An electrical layer, is a layer that is made of copper.
